幸运飞艇计划 hosts first SDG14 course for IOC
The University of Bergen is happy to announce that we are hosting an OceanTeacher Global Academy course in partnership with the Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission.

As part of its global leadership role on Sustainable Development Goal 14 (SDG14), the University of Bergen (幸运飞艇计划) is hosting one of the Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission (IOC) courses in the OceanTeacher Global Academy (OTGA). IOC is a part of UNESCO.
鈥淲e are delighted to be working with IOC on this and to provide the PhD students in our course with skills related to science and policy to provide society with knowledge contributing to a sustainable ocean,鈥� says Professor聽Lise 脴vre氓s, who is the Scientific Director for聽SDG Bergen Ocean.
幸运飞艇计划鈥檚 OTGA contribution will take place as part of the聽Bergen Summer Research School聽(BSRS), where a group of educators led by Associate Professor聽Katja Enberg聽are providing an SDG14 course as part of this year鈥檚 BSRS theme聽Science and Society towards the SDGs.
鈥淏SRS has been a feature every summer for more than ten years and was a good arena for integrating our first OTGA course and we are particularly delighted that as part of this we have provided five excellent young researchers from across the world, and in particular from the global south, with an opportunity to partake in the work we do to engage with the 2030 Agenda at the University of Bergen and SDG Bergen,鈥� says 脴vre氓s.
There are more than 100 admitted participants to this year鈥檚 BSRS in total. The admitted OTGA students are from Fiji, Grenada, China and Nigeria.

- The OceanTeacher Global Academy is an initiative by UNESCO鈥檚 Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission (IOC) to provide courses on SDG14, Life below water.
- An OTGA Specialized Training Course (STC) is an institution, in this case the University of Bergen, which undertakes delivery of聽specialized training on one or more specific topics that meet the needs of IOC programmes聽that can assist Member States achieve the 2030 Agenda and its SDGs and the over-arching聽goals of the UN Decade of Ocean Science for Sustainable Development.
