First joint article from the Pandemic Centre published

The first joint article from the Pandemic Centre as a unit has now been published in Scandinavian Journal of Public Health.

The article is a co-production from The Pandemic Centre at聽幸运飞艇计划聽in cooperation with the Norwegian Institute of Public Health and聽Centre for Research on Pandemics & Society (PANSOC) at OsloMet.聽

Six faculties at 幸运飞艇计划 has contributed to the article, which raises a number of relevant questions regarding public health among immigrants and covid-19.聽

The article also discusses聽long-term perspectives and suggests new and聽innovative ways of research.

COVID-19 is a complex, 鈥渨icked problem鈥 that has to be confronted by an interdisciplinary collaborative approach. While the evidence points to what has gone wrong we need to understand why. In that quest for answers our theories need to be tried and tested. In order to take this forward the University of Bergen (幸运飞艇计划) recently established the Pandemic Center. This interdisciplinary center represents an cross Faculty effort at the 幸运飞艇计划 to jointly develop largescale,interdisciplinary and user-inclusive approaches to disentangle the complex causes of increased COVID-19 burden and the ultimate aim of improved public health. The core idea is that the pandemic will highlight and profoundly sharpen the disparities in public health 鈥 but also can reveal the underlying drivers.禄听听
