CCBIO Annual Symposium

CCBIO arranges an annual symposium. This consists of a combination of talks by invited international speakers and other senior researchers, extended poster sessions where younger researchers can present their work, and ample time for interaction between participants.

The听2020 Annual Symposium, May 12鈥�13, was听unfortunately cancelled, following the national guidelines for reducing outbreak of the corona virus.听The 2021 Annual Symposium, May 19鈥�20, was听a fully digital event. From the听2022 event听on, the symposium was back on track at Solstrand, with an option of joining through a digital channel.

Full house at long-awaited onsite CCBIO Symposium (2022)

The 10th CCBIO Annual Symposium took place at Solstrand Hotel May 10 and 11, 2022, finally as an onsite event, attracting about 200 onsite and 60 online, as the symposium was offered as a hybrid solution.

A broad range of renowned international cancer scientists gave talks at the 2021 CCBIO Annual Symposium, which for the very first time was held as a fully online event.

CCBIO's 6th Annual Symposium (2018)

The 6th CCBIO Annual Symposium took place at Solstrand Hotel May 23-24 2018.

CCBIO's 5th Annual Symposium (2017)

The Centre for Cancer Biomarkers CCBIO met for the 5th time at their Annual Symposium at Solstrand 19-20 April. "We wish to motivate, especially the younger researchers, to perform excellent cancer research," says Center Director Lars A. Akslen.

CCBIO's 4th Symposium (2016)

Centre for Cancer Biomarkers' 4th CCBIO Annual Symposium was held at Solstrand 10.-11. May 2016. The symposium at Solstrand facilitates that students and researchers can make new contacts and catch up on the latest cancer research in their field.

CCBIO's 3rd symposium (2015)

Many of the world's top cancer researchers presented the latest in cancer research when the Centre for Cancer Biomarkers invited to the annual two-day symposium at Solstrand May 19-20 2015. This time, about 200 participants spent 2 days together with cancer research as main focus.

CCBIO's 2nd symposium (2014)

The 2nd symposium was held at Solstrand 25th-26th March 2014. The weather and the beautiful surroundings set a perfect frame to the gathering. National and international professionals gave exciting and future oriented talks.

CCBIO's 1st symposium (2013)

The Opening Symposium on May 30-31, 2013 (1st CCBIO Symposium) was a success with more than 250 participants.
