Bergen School of Global Studies is a network for graduate students seeking cross-disciplinary knowledge to tackle global challenges.

Here you find an overview of courses and subjects of relevance to students interested in the causes of global challenges and in mitigating their effects—all taught in English.

Finding solutions to these acute and complex challenges require us to go beyond traditional scientific disciplines to gain knowledge that incorporates multiple perspectives and new ways of knowing.

BSGS responds to this need for multi-disciplinary, research-based and practice-embedded teaching at the MA and PhD levels, and emphasises innovative learning methods and student involvement in teaching.

BSGS is organised in five pillars led by some of Bergen's excellent research milieux: climate, governance, global health, inequalityÌý²¹²Ô»å migration.
